Ryley is the creator of the BVEC Journal Club, and is a member of Columbia Valley Search and Rescue, a final year medical student at the University of Calgary, and a Star Wars aficionado. They previously worked as an advanced care paramedic with Banff EMS, and Alberta Health Services. They have an insatiable curiosity for emergency and critical care medicine, and a passion for teaching. Ryley is the chair of the Medical Committee with CVSAR, and sits on the Medical Advisory Committee for the British Columbia Search and Rescue Association.

Becky is a flight, and ground paramedic with AHSEMS in Calgary, and is a full-time instructor for the SAIT paramedic programs. Becky joined the BVEC Journal Club team as the social media coordinator, and manages our Instagram, and Facebook accounts. Becky is a former Canadian national football star, Harry Potter fanatic, and has a passion for education, both in the fields of emergency medicine, and athletics.

Erika is a Primary Care Paramedic with AHSEMS in Calgary Zone, a ski patroller for Winsport, a climbing gym instructor, and a very tired graduate student in the Bodnar lab at the U of C. She has been told her catch phrase is “…so I was reading this paper…” and can usually be found with at least a dozen tabs of papers she intends to read open on her computer. Erika joined the BVEC Journal Club as the logistics coordinator, and is responsible for managing this website, and coordinating team logistics.
