November Journal Club Meeting

Join us for the First Anniversary Celebration of the BVEC Journal Club! Join local Bow Valley researcher, and paramedic Terry Abrams, as they present on their recently published work on the efficacy of CPR while moving patients in mountainous terrain. Everyone is welcome!


Terry Abrams MEM MS MSc ACP

Terry Abrams is an Advanced Care Paramedic, beginning in 1983. He is an Instructor-Trainer for First Aid and On Snow Skills with the Canadian Ski Patrol. Terry joined the CSP in 1979, patrolling at Fortress Mountain, Mt. Norquay, Canada Olympic Park, Nakiska, the Lake Louise World Cup races and the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Alpine events. He was a member of the CSP’s Medical Advisory Committee from 1992 to 2018. He is the Coordinator of the Medical Special Interest Group of the Federation Internationale des Patrouilles de Ski. He holds Master of Science degrees in Community Health Science and Health Services Administration.
