February Journal Club Meeting

February’s meeting will consist of discussion around permissive hypotension in traumatic haemorrhage lead by Janna Newton. No one will be hypotensive after this exciting conversation!

The paper we will be looking at is “Permissive hypotensive resuscitation in adult patients with traumatic haemorrhagic shock: a systematic review” published by Albreiki and Voegeli (2017) in the European Journal of Trauma and Emergency Surgery. Presenter: Janna Newton

Janna Newton completed her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology in 2020, is finishing her Primary Care Paramedic this winter and is excited to gain more experience as a prehospital care provider. Her experience includes volunteering with the Student Medical Response Team, McMahon Medical, and Mass Gathering Medicine. Past research includes exercise physiology, effects of aging on the cardiovascular system, and concussions. Currently, binge listening to Oprah's Super Soul Sundays.
